At Home Dip Powder Manicure

Oh my gosh y’all! This is by far the most exciting information I have to share with you - I wish I knew about it sooner. Do any of you go to the nail salon and spend $40 for a dip powder manicure? Well….. now you can do it at your own home for a fraction of the cost! My sweet neighbor Catherine shared her experience with the company Revel Nails, and I ordered the starter kit that day and have fallen in LOVE.

I started getting my nails dipped a couple years ago because shellac would always peel off. I would spend $40 each visit and absolutely love the results, but not the fact that I paid $40 and didn’t even get a hand massage or cuticle treatment. After a while I stopped getting this done because it felt like too much money to spend.

After ordering my Revel Nail starter kit I was a bit skeptical because I thought there was no way I could make my nails look the way the salon does. I was wrong! The dip kit is SO easy to use because you only paint the clear adhesive coat on your nails, and then dip it into the powder for color. So, if you are bad at painting nails - this is for you!

There are 4 easy steps:

  1. Prep your nails by filing to your desired length and trimming cuticles

  2. Apply a thin coat of bottle #1 (probase) to your nails and dip into the powder - tap off excess powder. Repeat this step 3 times

  3. Apply a good amount of bottle #2 (activator) and let dry for 1 minute. After, buff and file the nails and add one more coat of bottle #2 to nails and let dry for 1 minute

  4. Last, apply a thin coat of bottle #3 (finish gel) and let sit for 15 seconds, then apply a second coat and let sit for 5 minutes

Just like that you’re done! Your nails will seriously look like you just walked out of the salon, and it was practically free! The amazing thing about dip powders is they last for years and you can always play around with fun colors. Not to mention they have 280 colors for you to choose from! I did a different color on every finger this last time and I would have never asked for that at a salon because I would feel bad… You can get as wild and creative as you want with these!

Check out their website and use this LINK to get 10% off your entire purchase. The starter kit is ONLY $50 and it comes with everything you need plus a dip color of your choice.

Let me know what you think! Send me pics of your nails if you order so I can share them on here! I hope you are as excited about this as I am 😉
